Children’s Hospital Heroes

Planting Joy in Every Independent Children’s Hospital.

Research shows that therapeutic play can reduce anxiety, improve cooperation with treatment, accelerate recovery, and boost emotional resilience. Yet many hospitals lack the funding to support child life specialist fully and they often rely on donations for basic supplies. 

Our Children’s Hospital Heroes campaign supports child life specialists, the often-overlooked emotional first responders in pediatric care by providing Smile Kits and Carts, therapeutic tools, and hospital wishlist items. 

If you are a child life specialist, we’d like to support your program for all the smiles you’ve created. 

Qualifications are as follows:

1. Must be currently employed at children’s hospital

2. Must be a licensed Child Life Specialist or Art Therapist.

3. Have not previously received support from Coming Up Rosies

Hospital Hero support ranges from an art cart, Smile Kits and fidgets/games, to Amazon wishlist fulfillment. The items will be donated to your hospital.  To request items please fill out the form below.

*If you are a CLS with a private practice, you are able to apply, but please understand hospital programs will be prioritized this year.
